GETTING HERE
To get to Punta Mona, you can arrive via boat or hike in. The hike takes approximately 2 hours and we recommend that you come in with a guide or use a downloaded offline map of Costa Rica on theMaps.Me App and follow the trail from Manzanillo National Park to Punta Mona. If you travel light, enjoy exercise and have good footwear, this is a great option. If you would prefer a boat trip in, we know a local Captain Jose who will take you from Maxi’s restaurant in Manzanillo to our beachfront doorstep at Punta Mona in his boat. We can schedule a departure from Manzanillo between 9am and 4pm. The boat is $50 each way and can also be split with anyone traveling on board, which is good for the environment and the pocketbook. The $50 each direction is paid directly to Jose as a separate business and charge from your experience at Punta Mona. Jose’s WhatsApp number is +506 5015-9711 and he always appreciates it when passengers contact him upon their arrival at Maxi’s. For more info, see "Getting Here" page of our website
Manzanillo is where you will depart by boat, or begin your hike to Punta Mona
